Frequently Asked Questions.
Group Classes
Do I Need To Bring Anything?
The class is made so that no equipment is needed. For hygienic reasons and personal comfort everyone is asked to bring the following:
A non-slip Yoga Mat
Water Bottle
Sweat Towel
Indoor Shoes
Positive Vibes
Are There Facilities On Site?
There are washrooms and a water machine in the studio. Being in a dance studio there are no showers.
What If I Have An Injury?
If you have an injury please tell your instructor before the class starts, contact us, or mention it when you register. All classes can be modified to your needs. Major injuries should be consulted with a medical professional before registering for a class.
Do You Have Promotions?
For anyone involved with ACTRA or other performance guilds you can email with proof of membership to receive a promo code. To receive updates on additional promotions subscribe to the Phat Fitness Fam HERE at the bottom of the HOME page or follow @phat_fitness_ on Instagram.
What If I Cancel?
In order to adequately plan for class availability, Phat Fitness requires a minimum of a 12 HOUR notice to cancel a class reservation. A class reservation that is cancelled with less than 12 hours will be considered late and the service booked will be charged as if the member had attended. In the event of an emergency, 1 HOUR notice is accepted and the charged fee will be applied to the following class or next session.
Personal Training
How Should I Prepare For My Workouts?
To make the most of your session time, it’s best to arrive wearing your workout clothes. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and stay hydrated during the training session. I also recommend eating a light snack two hours prior to your session. If you have time, it’s worth starting a light warm up or stretching session before the workout!
Do I Need to Bring Anything to the Sessions?
Make sure to have your cell phone on you so I can contact you when I arrive. I also recommend bringing a water bottle and towel. Make sure to come prepared in your workout attire.
Can I Train If I’m Hurt?
This depends on the severity of your injury, I ask that you inform me prior to the session. Major injuries should be looked at by a medical professional and ok’d before committing to sessions. Minor injuries I can work with you to strengthen and offer recommendations to physio therapists, chiropractors, or other practitioners.
How Do I Cancel a Scheduled Session?
You can cancel a session by letting me know 12 hours or more before your scheduled start time. If you cancel with greater than 12 hours notice, you will not be deducted any session credits on your package. If you cancel within 12 hours, you will be charged for the session.
Do You Offer Pay-As-You-Go Sessions?
Unfortunately, I don’t. Personal Training isn’t a service where you’d benefit from a lack of commitment. You’d actually be doing yourself a disservice. If you are looking for sessions without commitment, I recommend looking at the Phat Fitness Group Classes. If you want real dedication and real results, personal training is the place to start.
Are My Card Details Safe?
You can feel confident that your card details are safe. I use Square and PayPal – industry standards in payment processing.
What Qualifications Do You Have?
As a trainer I hold certifications from the best certifying bodies in the industry; Canfit Pro, CPR via Red Cross, RAD Adv. II, and more. I have been a part of the fitness industry the majority of my life due to the family business, Western Fitness Equipment. No matter what your goal is, I can help you get there.
